Word from the Executive Director
The Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent is unique in many different ways. The Centre distinguishes itself by providing, in one single location, multidisciplinary professional services and working together with designated Partners from other psychosocial, medical and social-judicial services. The Centre also distinguishes itself by involving child victims, their parent(s) and families in research, thus contributing to the development of knowledge and specialized services to meet the clientele's specific needs.
Providing, in the same location, a specially designed environment to better serve the clientele is also considered to be a giant step forward for psychosocial services in Québec. Thanks to its ultramodern and adapted facilities, the Centre has not only become a reference in clinical services but also as a training facility for students and professionals in this specific field of work. Up till now, the Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent has played, and continues to play, a leading role in its field, here in Québec and more recently internationally.
The Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent welcomes this collective effort and mobilization in working to improve the wellbeing of child victims. I wish to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of you that have contributed by your involvement to the Centre's growth and becoming.
