Word from the President
In order to provide specially designed integrated services to child sexual abuse victims, their parent(s) and families, the Marie-Vincent Foundation decided, in 2005, to support the Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent's inception. In the same year, the Marie-Vincent Foundation also sponsored the Chaire interuniversitaire Fondation Marie-Vincent. This Chair, in a concomitant way, also supports the Centre by researching, evaluating and developing solutions and better practices to help child sexual abuse victims and their loved ones.
This unique and innovative organisational work model encourages an ongoing learning process while professionals work at bettering their practices, by questioning their work models and developing appropriate and more advanced solutions for the clientele. While the Governments of Quebec and Canada provide financial support, the Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent also benefits from the public's generosity as well as that of the business and corporate communities.
Lets together acknowledge the generosity, efforts and involvement of the Foundation's individual and corporate donors, both our Government's financial support, our Board of Directors, both the Chair and the Centre's devoted staff and collaborators, designated Partners and of course our Volunteers. Together in commitment and perseverance we are working to ensure the child victims, their parent(s) and families wellbeing, thus providing for a better world.
