The Centre d'expertise
Marie-Vincent :
Partners working together

Partnership represents the essence of the Centre's existence and development for it benefits from the support and collaboration of multidisciplinary designated Partners.

Since the "Table des partenaires" inception in 2005, close to 20 organisations have joined in and a growing number of Partners has been since then recorded.

The Table's mandate consists in:

  • Sharing pertinent information directly linked to the Centre's mission and goals;
  • Validating the Centre's orientations and their feasibility;
  • Communicating specific knowledge on victimology and sexual abuse;
  • Supporting concertation of intersectoral activities as well as services rendered by the Centre and its Partners;
  • Broadening networks by involving all of those concerned by the problematic in the concertation process and therefore contributing to intersectoral expertise.

In regards to discussions held at the Table, subcommittees may be formed to elaborate diverse specific programs orientations. For example, a subcommittee, providing the Centre with an intersectoral vision, was put into place to discuss expectations in terms of training and the development of corresponding programs to meet the community's specific needs.

Also, each year the Centre holds a special one day event, the "Journée séciale du Centre d'expertise et de ses partenaires", for its designated Partners.This event represents an opportunity for the intersectoral Partners to gather, reflect and exchange on, local or worldwide, activities and achievements in regards to child sexual abuse.
