Chair's main goals
The "Chaire interuniversitaire Fondation Marie-Vincent sur les agressions sexuelles envers les enfants" aims to:
- Increase knowledge thus allowing the practitioners from different settings involved at the Centre d'expertise Marie-Vincent to develop specialized services and optimize the quality of services rendered to young victims of sexual abuse, their parent(s) and close ones. The Chair will namely enable the elaboration of specialized evaluation tools, best practices and intervention protocols;
- Disseminate research results on the nature and consequences of sexual abuse, on the evaluation of specialized services offered by the Center and their impact to promote the implementation of best practices and the development of state-of-the-art knowledge;
- Offer a unique training opportunity for the next generation of specialists who will benefit from an exceptional research setting by the proximity of the Centre and its services;
- Allow the Centre to become a leader in the development of specialized services.
