Research axes
The Chaire’s program for 2010-2015 comprises three strategic areas of research:
| Area 1 | Assess the needs and capabilities of sexually abused children and their families |
| Area 2 | Evaluate the services offered by the Centre d’expertise Marie-Vincent |
| Area 3 | Explore the different developmental trajectories of children involved in sexual abuse situations |
The term “victims of sexual abuse” broadly designates the clientele targeted by the Centre’s services and could therefore include children presenting problems related to different forms of sexual violence.
The Chaire’s presence is proving indispensable in documenting and measuring the quality of interventions with children and in serving to ensure the development of best practices.
